Sorry it has been so long but like the song said " Life is what happens to you while your busy making other plans..." How right you were Mr. Lennon.
I spent the summer learning songs and playing wanna be rock star. But it made for a fun summer.
For the last couple of months I have been studying for my MCSE tests. I have already passed the XP and Server 2003 tests now I just have to pass the other five.
More later when I get a chance.

Hello again.
First off, I did get the Avalanche. I'm loving every minute of it. Been getting plenty of time driving going between our Rigby, Rexburg, and I. F. offices.
Sky had her last day of school yesterday. She is a little sad to see some of her friends go. She did really good this year. She got all A's on her report card. that is soooo cool. Better than her old man. I never had the patience for school work. I had other things to do! Homework wasn't even on the radar.
On the band front, I'm still massacring the songs that i'm singing. Playing and singing is not working yet. That is going to be my homework for the long weekend. Work on the songs that I'm singing and get them down pat. I don't want to be the weak link in this band. I want to be able to pull my own weight with confidence. These guys intimidate the hell out of me because they have been playing for so many years. But that is a good thing. They have alot of experience that I can draw from and learn from. That will only make me a better musician.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend and talk at ya later.

Sorry that it has taken me so long to post. I have been real busy at work and with the band.
First, work, it has been busy because of the new office we are opening. We're not really opening a new office as much as we are merging with an existing office in this other town. Trying to update their system to be compatible with ours is being a real pain in the ass. On top of that the phone service provider(VIOP) is having problems getting the system to work. GRRRR

Next , the band. We are starting to get the songs polished up. We are even throwing in a few new songs. Right now we are doing about 45 songs. I think I'm doing pretty good learning 45 songs in 2 months. Not only learning to play them, but play and in some cases sing

them too. Right now I only sing 3 or 4. We have our first gig planned for June 10th. Should be interesting. We are doing a wedding for a friend plus closing out the bar that night. Just a 7 hour gig!

No big deal.
On the home front, Sky is just about finished with this school year. She is getting excited about Grandpa being home, after he retires in a couple of months. He has bought a boat and plans on taking sky out fishing. She can't wait. It will be her first time on a boat.
In more recent news, It looks like I will be getting a new truck. I'm waiting to hear back on the financing. Its a 2002 Chevy Avalanche in Onyx Black with the North Face Edition package. I should hear back sometime this morning and pick it up this afternoon.

As you can probably guess, I'm wait ever so patiently.

Time to get off my butt and get a post in.
Practice with the band is going slow but steady. I'm stumbling around like a school boy trying to undo a bra. But bless the guys, they have lots of patience. I have a good portion of about 20 songs down already. Not too bad for a
N00B. It is pretty fun. They guys keep saying wait until we get the drummer in here then things will start to click. I hope so.
We are doing the sound for a local high school battle of the bands tonight. Pretty boring for the most part. To bad these kids can't seem to realize that if they pulled the mic away from their mouths it would sound alot better. They over modulate everything and then I can't do anything with mic sound. Oh well, supposedly, with age comes wisdom.

The weight thing is going well, haven't lost a lot of weight but the gut seems smaller and the pants seem a little loose. I don't get as much time at the gym as I would like. I'm usually practicing with the band.
Better get back to work.

Sorry it has taken so long to get an update. Busy at work! Just thought I would pass along a little info.
My weight situation is steady right now. I just haven't changed my diet enough to make a difference. That is going to change soon.
In other news. I got a call from JD yesterday. It seems that the situation with the new band isn't a nice as he had hoped. He has fun, but he just doesn't feel any real camaraderie. He is wanting to play with real friends. Some how when he and J got to talking about putting a band together my name came up. So he is willing to help me pick-up my guitar skills, and I have to work on my vocal talents. Haven't sang for quite a while so I have some real work ahead of me if I don't want to make an ass of myself.

The week is almost over and I'm finally getting to my update? This is just sad.
Anyway, I lost three pounds this week. I'm looking at some nutrition things and some different workout things. Hopefully these things might help me make better strides in my weightloss goals.

Another week, another pound gained. Nothing major! I just need to push myself a little more and have a little more discipline when it comes to having seconds.
Went to JD's new place this weekend. Finally brought the housewarming gift. A plant, what else would it be?
Well, back to work. Hope everyone has a good week.

Well, I
GAINED again ! only 1 pound so not too bad.
Can anyone believe all the stupid crap about the VP's hunting accident. Come on folks its an accident. So please tell the conspiracy theorists to go back under ground and wait for a real national incident to happen.

Other than that, have a great rest of the week!

Better late than never.
I'm a little late getting my weekely update posted...sorry. Monday was a little busy.
First, I lost two pounds this week. Back on track after the injuries. The shoulder is still bothering me, but I'm working through it. Down to 210 pounds. It's a nice start, but got to get more serious about this.
Second, JD joined a new band and they played this past weekend. I'm glad to see him having fun again. He has gone so long without playing, he deserved to have some fun again. I wasn't that impressed with band, but that is just a personal thing. They, for the most part, weren't playing the kind of music I would listen to. It was still a fun night out. G and M showed up as wel as J and S.
Third, Congrates to the Steelers for their Superbowl XL win. I won't get into the officiating or any of the other things about the game. They are the champs and that won't change.
Lastly, I just recieved some new software that will help me convert my PVRed shows on my 'puter for use on my PSP. This is going to be cool.

- Music: Rush...Working Man
Well, I gained a pound this week. That is mainly due to not getting a good workout this week, I've had a injured shoulder and knee. I did do some cardio on wednesday that seemed to aggravate the knee problem. Luckily this week I feel almost 100%. The shoulder is still being a problem(a little). But the knee seems fine. I don't workout the upper half until Wednesday, so, I get a couple more days of rest on the shoulder.
Had some problems at work with our Exchange Server. Seems that the standard version of Exchange has a restriction on database size. I had noooo clue. The office hit the magic number of 16 gig and crashed. Luckily there was a workaround that Microsoft had. That allowed me to get back into the database and remove alot of the garbage that everyone had accumulated. Now I have gained almost 6 gig back. But I'm still working on it.
More later!
